About Marty Klein, Ph.D.

Dr. Marty Klein has been a sociologist, Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist, and Certified Sex Therapist for 31 years (that's over 30,000 sessions). His entire career has been aimed toward a single set of goals: telling the truth about sexuality, helping people feel sexually adequate & powerful, and supporting the healthy sexual expression and exploration of women and men.

Available in 14 languages, Marty's seven books have been acclaimed by everyone from Psychology Today to the Playboy Advisor to USA Today. Marty has given over 700 keynote speeches, training programs, and popular lectures across North America and in 24 countries, including China, India, Russia, Morocco, Israel, Turkey, and Croatia. He has trained some 100,000 psychologists, social workers, physicians, and attorneys in human sexuality.

Frequently quoted in the national media, Marty has been featured in The New York Times and The New Yorker, and on 20/20, Nightline, and NPR.

Marty has been honored by both the California Association of Marriage & Family Therapists and the Society for the Scientific Study of Sexuality. In 2007 the first edition of  America's War On Sex was honored as Book of the Year by the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors, & Therapists.

Marty has been an expert witness, consultant, or invited plaintiff in several historic federal anti-censorship trials. For twelve years he has written and published the monthly electronic newsletter Sexual Intelligence (www.SexualIntelligence.org), whose wit, passion and research highlights the ways in which our sexual rights are being challenged.
