About Marty Klein, Ph.D.

Dr. Marty Klein has been a sociologist, Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist, and Certified Sex Therapist for 26 years (that's 30,000 sessions). His entire career has been aimed toward a single set of goals: telling the truth about sexuality, helping people feel sexually adequate & powerful, and supporting the healthy sexual expression and exploration of women and men.

Available in 9 languages, Marty's five previous books have been acclaimed by everyone from USA Today to The California Therapist to the Playboy Advisor. Marty has given over 600 keynote speeches, training programs, and popular lectures across North America and in countries including Russia, Morocco, Israel, Latvia, Turkey, and Croatia (where he is affectionately known as the Father of Sex Therapy). He estimates he has trained some 100,000 psychologists, social workers, and physicians in human sexuality.

Marty has been honored by both the California Association of Marriage & Family Therapists and the Society for the Scientific Study of Sexuality. He has been an expert witness or consultant in several historic federal anti-censorship trials. For six years he has written and published the monthly blog Sexual Intelligence (www.SexualIntelligence.org), whose wit, passion and research highlights the ways in which our sexual rights are being challenged.

Marty's original articles, extensive Q/A, and descriptions of all his books and tapes are available on his website at www.SexEd.org. He lives in northern California with his wife, cactus garden, and enormous collection of rock and roll albums.
